Overall, a streaming server must have good internet connectivity, and good access to the Internet providers, in order to keep the quality of the streams up to the internet users.
Our streaming servers have full access to our 1 Gbps Internet connectivity provided by Mesh and Level3, with no bandwidth limitation and very effective response time in Belgium and Worldwide. Our connectivity exceeds 99,99 % availability.
The Level3 datacenter hosts most of the telecom operators present in Belgium. It also hosts one nodes of the BNIX, the network that interconnects the Internet operators in Belgium. This is how we can offer you the best Internet connectivity to any Belgian Internet user.
Level3 is also an international Internet operator with a fiber optic backbone in Europe and North America. So we can provide you with an exceptional connectivity to Internet users located anywhere around the world.
Our streaming infrastructure consists of servers optimised for Windows Media and Flash streaming. We provide you with a FTP access (with username and password) to upload media files on the streaming servers.
As proof of the streaming quality, Net7 broadcasts radio live streaming for BelRTL and on-demand video. We have also broadcasted video live streaming on request for RTL-TVI (Pope John Paul II’s funeral, 7 July 2005 London bombings...).
We can provide you with detailed reports and statistics on the streaming, like how many users requested the stream, how many users read a video stream at a given time, how much users viewed the video entirely, etc.
